GMA are delighted to be retained in recruiting for an Engineering Test Lead (rotating equipment) for a leading business that specializes in original equipment and performance engineered services specifically for rotating equipment.

Serving oil and gas, petrochemical, renewable, nuclear, water, waste water sectors, they are able to deliver high levels of support and services for the most demanding applications.

Due to growth they are looking to add to their leadership team an Engineering Test Lead, to work in their manufacturing business that services a large volume of rotating capital plant and equipment.

The Role

As the Engineering Test lead you will be a part of the senior leadership team, where you will be responsible for managing and leading a small test engineering team.

As the lead you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, development and implementation of their test and technical strategy on site. You will lead and develop the test engineering team instilling drive, energy and attention to detail in all areas of safety, cost, quality and delivery across a range of CI objectives.

The position will support the operational management in achieving full compliance with test and product development, focusing on maximising utilisation of resource, skills and competency of the work force.

The Candidate

To be successful in the position of Engineering Test Lead you will

• Have extensive experience from within rotating machinery with both mechanical and electrical knowledge preferable
• Have experience of testing on pumps (centrifugal) and/or electric motors (LV/MV/HV) with working knowledge of repair methods and operations.
• Be a strong leader possessing team management skills who can work effectively with people at all levels
• Have knowledge of performance testing on rotating equipment.

This role will suit candidates who are from a rotating equipment testing background who either have experience of managing and leading teams, or who would see his as a first step into management and leadership.
