Steam Turbine Engineer £50k - £65k base + Car allowance + Bonus + Pension + 25 days holidays The Company GMA are delighted to be working exclusively in supporting a market leader in the service, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment, around the world. For many years now they have continued to support their installed based and that of other OEM’s throughout Europe and around the world. From their UK base they are able to site engineering support, design and analysis, technical support and spares support to a wide variety of industries to include sugar, waste to energy, paper and pulp, naval and marine. Due to growth they are looking to add to their successful team and experienced steam turbine engineer. The Role They are looking for an experienced multi skilled Mechanical Engineer with a demonstratable experience in rotating equipment, specifically industrial steam turbines. The applicant would become a part of the engineering team who provide a variety of functions to the business and their customers. Their projects typically consist of various industrial steam turbines, industrial gearboxes, electrical generators, single and multistage pumps, control systems and valves. Key responsibilities include  

• Mechanical design and drafting using CAD package (Solidworks)
• Developing PDS and specifications
• Supporting field engineers, on site and remotely
• Supporting sales teams
• Commissioning and supervising new equipment installations.
• Developing control system upgrades.
• Assisting customers in solving problems with their equipment
• FEA application to support design engineers
• Creation and review of technical reports

  Ability to travel to customers sites and suppliers both UK and overseas. Contracts Engineer £35,000 - £50,000 Base + bonus + 25 days hols + Package Contracts Engineer The Business GMA Technical are delighted to be working in partnership with a global leader in the manufacture and service of rotating equipment. They are able to offer technology-based OE & aftermarket solutions, for complex steam turbine technology. Key industries they operate in include Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, steel, paper and MOD. Due to growth in the UK they are looking to add to their successful team contracts engineer to be based at their head office. The Role As the contracts engineer you will be responsible for owning and co ordinating (Steam Turbine) workshop overhaul, spares manufacturing and site activities with project and contracts from the customer. You will be responsible for customer facing activities throughout the whole overhaul/supply process to EHS, Production standards, and relevant customer specifications. This is an exciting opportunity where you will lead and develop the relationship with the customer in order to ensure projects and contracts are delivered in a timely manner, and with in budget. • Be commutable to head office, south midlands.
• Be degree educated or apprentice trained in mechanical engineering
• Have worked in a commercial engineering environment where you are used to speaking with customers face to face.
• They will consider seasoned experienced individual’s but also graduates or apprentice trained individuals who would see this as a 2^nd or 3^rd move since qualifying.
